Lakshmi at 9
While I put together the most loathed and most loved type of gallery: “photos of my dog”, I’d like to let the world know just how cool my dog is:
These photos were taken last weekend at Davenport beach, 11 miles north of Santa Cruz.
I adopted Lakshmi exactly 9 years ago today. When I took her to the vet, the vet guessed she was about six months old, but I usually recognize February 6 as her birthday. She’s been my best friend, my sole companion on tens of thousands of miles of travel on this continent, and for long stretches of time, the only thing that would get me out of the house—something for which I’m very grateful.
9.5 seems old for a dog, but she’s so active and agile and outgoing that people still think she’s a puppy. I can only wish that were the case.

Might I just comment that in the first picture, it looks like your dog has a halo around it? Honestly, wonderdog there - was that actually in the picture?

Your dog is so cute and its great that you adopted her.
I adopted all three of my dogs and I love em.
Nine isnt old for a dog and its great she still is young at heart and has a great spirit!
