I’m a thirty-something-year old currently residing in Redwood City, California. During the day, I manage a user experience design team for a large software company. For a long time, all my online endeavors, even and especially those on this site, were penned under my alias “resonance”. Vestiges of resonance remain scattered about the web…once you pollute the Google pool, there’s no going back.

I live with my wonderful and witty wife, two dogs, and as of March of 2006, my son. In addition to the activities made obvious by the content of this site, I like to flyfish, design and make furniture, backpack, and bicycle.

Here’s the rest of the pith one expects to find when visiting pages such as this:

  • The west coast will never seem like home to me. The people are too flakey, and too ingenuine. Yeah, the weather is nice and the landscape is beautiful, but I’m sick of hearing west coasters bitch when it gets below 65°F and I’m tired of hearing people wonder aloud why anyone in their right minds would live elsewhere.
  • I miss Chicago pizza, please send me some. The real stuff. From Uno’s. None of that Gino’s crap.
  • If you ask me for feedback, I’ll often tell you what you don’t want to hear, but that’s only because I don’t sugarcoat reality to make you feel good about yourself. In this regard, I’m a terrible person to come to if you’ve done something stupid and want support, but I’m a great person to come to if you really are looking for feedback.
  • I wonder why the world doesn’t try harder.
  • If I could be another person for a day, I’d probably choose to be one of my former professors. But only for a day, and only under the condition that I wouldn’t have to grade papers or attend department meetings.
  • I’d be perfectly happy living in a tent, but only if it had broadband and I could bring my MacBook Pro.
